I began offering my unsolicited opinion on brand strategy and design as a teenager. I had no formal training yet, but I had a gift for visual art, an eye for details, and an intuitive understanding of what it takes to inspire action through storytelling. I became the go-to designer and strategist for my grandma and her church-backed nonprofit initiatives. Soon, my artistic friends would tap me to create visuals for their independent music and poetry debuts. The occasional request to design a flyer or a mixtape cover fed my already growing curiosity about the influence of creativity on culture and collective behavior. It became clear that this hobby was a calling.
After a couple months of teaching myself how to use Adobe design software, I launched my first solo-powered brand design studio, Bri-Dimensional Images (BDI), as a side hustle during my junior year of college. I started a business before I was ready and wouldn’t have it any other way. My first paying clients were underserved founders who owned small lifestyle businesses with modest budgets and purpose-filled dreams. Despite the many amateur mistakes I’d make in the 2 years that I ran BDI, that initial foray into creative entrepreneurship tipped the first domino of a soul-fulfilling career merging art, business, and people.

Since then, I’ve spent over a decade stacking my skills as a creative director, multi-touchpoint designer, video storyteller, digital marketer, and startup strategist.
Ditching traditional paths to follow my curiosity has led me into leadership roles like Senior Brand Manager of jcoco Chocolate, Marketing Director of Northwest African American Museum, Senior Marketing Manager at Amazon, Owner of a branding studio, and Founder of a tech startup, to name a few. I’ve developed brand ecosystems for forward-thinking consumer companies in and at the margins of Big Business. From artisan chocolate to iconic Hip Hop labels, I bring creative risks and cultural consciousness to brands across industries.
Most importantly, I’ve created a fun, sustainable, and expanding work life on my terms. The secret sauce of my career autonomy? A striking and consistent personal brand.
